Connie has been with Room 8 since 2012. She has nearly 10 years experience in events management and co-ordination in both the television and live music industries.
In 2007, Connie completed her Bachelor of Business (Music Industry/Event Management) at Victoria University. She then joined the team at Channel 31 based in Melbourne and Geelong as a web and events co-ordinator. In this role Connie worked on many different shows with diverse communities in Melbourne and Geelong, working closely with producers and production managers.
Connie moved into the live events industry in 2009 and was event co-ordinator for the C31 Digital Forum at the Multicultural Hub where she co-ordinated the conference attended by key State political leaders of the time. In 2009 and 2010 Connie was Assistant Event Manager for the televised Antenna Awards, the night of nights for Community Television in Australia. Connie then focused her energies on live music events, developing and fully managing the live outdoor youth music broadcast/event ‘Live at the Lawn’ at the State Library of Victoria as part of National Youth Week in 2009 and 2010.
Since 2012, Connie has worked on all aspects of production management, administration, touring logistics and marketing for hit Room 8 productions like The Man in Black – the Johnny Cash Story, The John Denver Story, Let’s Get it On – the Life and Music of Marvin Gaye, At Last – the Etta James Story and Godspell.
